Application

Designed for electrical power distribution at nominal voltages of 6.35/11kV (Uo/U) and 50Hz frequency, this single core unarmoured cable is suitable for the following installation environments:

  • Power supply stations and substations

  • Indoor and cable duct installations

  • Buried or underground systems

  • Wet locations, including water-logged areas

  • Industrial switchboards and cable trays

Its unarmoured design allows for easy handling and flexible routing, especially in confined spaces.

Construction

Component Description
Conductor Plain annealed copper (stranded, Class 2) or aluminium (solid or stranded, Class 2) in accordance with IEC 60228
Conductor Screen Extruded semi-conducting cross-linkable compound
Insulation XLPE (Cross-linked Polyethylene) or EPR (Ethylene Propylene Rubber)
Insulation Screen Extruded semi-conducting cross-linkable compound applied over insulation
Metallic Screen Copper tape, concentric copper wires, or combination of both for fault current return and shielding
Outer Sheath PVC or MDPE; LSZH available on request for enhanced fire performance
