The AAC Libra 49.5mm² is a stranded all-aluminum conductor composed of high-purity aluminum wires (1350-H19) arranged in concentric layers. Designed for use in low and medium voltage overhead transmission and distribution lines, AAC conductors are valued for their lightweight, good conductivity, and corrosion resistance in coastal or industrial environments.
The conductor consists of 7 aluminum wires of equal diameter, stranded in a single layer. The wires are fully hard-drawn and helically stranded with alternate lay directions in successive layers to improve cable strength and reduce vibration. The outermost layer has a right-hand lay.
AAC conductors are commonly used when high conductivity and low weight are more critical than high tensile strength.

All Aluminum Conductor AAC Construction
Application
AAC Libra 49.5mm² is suitable for:
Low and medium voltage overhead power distribution networks
Areas with minimal mechanical tension requirements
Installations in coastal or corrosive environments due to aluminum's resistance to oxidation
This conductor is ideal for short-span overhead lines and urban grid systems where electrical conductivity and weight are more critical than mechanical strength.
