Application

ABC (Aerial Bundled Cable) is primarily used for overhead power distribution applications such as street lighting, outdoor lighting, rural electrification, and temporary power supply at construction sites.
These cables are designed for systems with voltages up to 1000V phase-to-phase.

  • Operating Temperature:

    • Up to 70°C for PE or PVC insulated conductors

    • Up to 90°C for XLPE insulated conductors

  • Installation: Suitable for outdoor overhead use. The black insulation is UV and weather resistant.

Standards

  • GB/T 12527 (Equivalent to IEC 60502-1): Aerial Insulated Cables for Rated Voltages up to and Including 1kV

  • IEC 60228: Conductors of Insulated Cables

Construction

ComponentDescription
ConductorStranded circular aluminum (AAC), aluminum alloy (AAAC), copper (Cu), or ACSR. Available in compacted or uncompacted forms.
InsulationPE, PVC, or XLPE – black, UV and weather resistant.
