It features three 70mm² stranded aluminum phase conductors, a 54.6mm² aluminum alloy messenger conductor (which also serves as the neutral), and a 25mm² aluminum public lighting conductor. All conductors are insulated with XLPE. The cable is manufactured to the National French Standard NFC 33-209.

This NFC 33-209 Aerial Bundle Conductor (ABC) Cable 3x70+54.6+25mm² is a low-voltage overhead power cable. It features three 70mm² stranded aluminum phase conductors, a 54.6mm² aluminum alloy messenger conductor (which also serves as the neutral), and a 25mm² aluminum public lighting conductor. All conductors are insulated with XLPE. The cable is manufactured to the National French Standard NFC 33-209.

Applications

This ABC cable is designed for power distribution in residential and rural areas. It's used to reduce the risk of bushfire hazards, and the XLPE insulation provides excellent UV resistance. The cable is designed for a maximum voltage of 600V (phase to phase) and a maximum conductor temperature of 90°C. The dedicated 25mm² conductor is for public lighting applications.

Construction Details

The construction of this 3+1+1 core ABC cable includes:

  1. Phase Conductor: Multistrand round compacted hard-drawn aluminum conductor insulated with black, weather-resistant XLPE.
  2. Neutral Messenger: Multistrand round aluminum alloy conductor insulated with black, weather-resistant XLPE. This conductor also provides mechanical support.
  3. Public Lighting Conductor: Multistrand round compacted hard-drawn aluminum conductor insulated with black, weather-resistant XLPE.
  4. Assembly: The insulated phase, neutral messenger, and public lighting conductors are stranded together with a right-hand lay.
