Application
ACSR (Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced) is widely used in overhead power transmission and distribution lines. The Weasel size (30 mm² aluminum area) is suitable for low to medium voltage applications, especially in rural, suburban, and industrial networks.
Thanks to its excellent strength-to-weight ratio and low cost, ACSR Weasel is ideal for spans across valleys, rivers, and other challenging terrain where high mechanical tension and reliable conductivity are critical.
Standards
Manufactured in accordance with:
IEC 61089 – Round wire concentric lay overhead electrical stranded conductors
ASTM B232 / B232M – Concentric-Lay-Stranded Aluminum Conductors, Coated-Steel Reinforced (ACSR)
BS 215-2 – Aluminum conductors, steel-reinforced
DIN 48204 – Aluminum-steel overhead conductors
Other national standards on request
