Low smoke halogen free fire resistant cable

This is an extended type of power cable where the sheath material contains no halogens (F, Cl, Br, I, At), no lead, cadmium, chromium, mercury or other environmentally harmful substances. When burned, it does not emit toxic smoke, making it an environmentally friendly cable.

This is an extended type of power cable where the sheath material contains no halogens (F, Cl, Br, I, At), no lead, cadmium, chromium, mercury or other environmentally harmful substances. When burned, it does not emit toxic smoke, making it an environmentally friendly cable.

Main Applications: With excellent flame-retardant properties and minimal smoke emission during combustion, with no corrosive gases released, these cables are widely used in nuclear power plants, subway stations, telephone exchanges, computer control centers, high-rise buildings, hotels, radio and television stations, important military facilities, oil platforms, and other locations with high population density and low air circulation.

Basic Overview:

  • Halogen content: ≤50 PPM (according to regulation PREN 14582)
  • Halogen acid gas content after combustion: <100 PPM (according to regulation EN5067-2-1)
  • pH value of water solution of halogen acid gas after combustion: ≥4.3 (weakly acidic) (according to regulation EN-50267-2-2)
  • Light transmittance after burning in a closed container: ≥60% (according to regulation EN-50268-2)
  • Pb<90PPM, Cd, Cr6+, Hg, PBBs, PBDEs all less than 5PPM

Production Range:

  • Common structures: 3+1, 4+1, 3+2, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 cores, 2-37 core control cables
  • Cross-sections (mm²): 1mm², 1.5mm², 2.5mm², 4mm², 6mm², 10mm², 16mm², 25mm², 35mm², 50mm², 70mm², 95mm², 120mm², 150mm², 185mm², 240mm², 300mm²

Usage Characteristics:

  1. Cable rated voltage UO/U: 450/750V, AC polyolefin UO/U is 0.6/1KV
  2. Cable long-term operating temperature: -20°C to 90°C, -40°C to 105°C
  3. Recommended bending radius: Non-armored cables should not be less than 6 times the cable diameter; armored or copper tape shielded cables should not be less than 12 times the cable diameter.

Low-Smoke Halogen-Free Wire Characteristics:

  1. Higher tensile strength than standard PVC wires: Standard PVC wires have tensile strength greater than 1.05Kgf/mm², while low-smoke halogen-free wires have tensile strength greater than 1.2Kgf/mm²
  2. Excellent weather resistance (-30°C to 105°C)
  3. Good flexibility (hardness of 80-90)
  4. Non-migratory properties (as no plasticizers are added to the formulation, there is no deformation)
  5. Does not produce toxic black smoke when burning (produces only a small amount of white smoke)
  6. Higher volume resistivity: PVC wires typically 10¹² to 10¹⁵Ω/cm³, low-smoke halogen-free wires greater than 10¹⁶Ω/cm³
  7. Excellent high-voltage resistance: PVC wires generally withstand above 10KV, while low-smoke halogen-free wires withstand above 15KV
  8. Excellent elasticity and adhesion
