What Is BV Cable?

BV cable refers to a single-core copper conductor wire with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation. It belongs to the 450/750V rated building wire series, designed primarily for fixed installations inside walls, conduits, and distribution boxes.

Main Applications

BV cable is commonly used for:

  • Indoor wiring in homes, offices, and commercial buildings

  • Connection of electrical appliances such as televisions, air conditioners, sound systems, and lighting

  • Power distribution circuits and control panels

  • Fixed installations in dry environments (laid in pipes, trunking, or embedded in walls)

⚠️ Note: BV cable is not suitable for outdoor or wet environments unless properly protected.
