4-4-6 Crab Aluminum Conductor Triplex Overhead Service Drop Cable Wire Application
Triplex aluminum wire has three conductors, with one of them being for neutral path, and two electrodes. Primarily used for 120 volt overhead service applications such as street lighting, outdoor lighting, and temporary service for construction. To be used at voltages of 600 volts phase-to-phase or less and at conductor temperatures not to exceed 75°C for polyethylene insulated conductors or 90°C for crosslinked polyethylene (XLP) insulated conductors. A bare messenger wire of this electrical cable is bonded closely on the two insulated aluminum conductors, which are individually insulated with black cross-linked polyethylene for protection.
