Covered Line Wire AAC Aluminum Conductor

AAC (All Aluminum Conductor) Covered Line Wire is a standard overhead transmission wire designed for efficient electrical power distribution. Made entirely of high-quality aluminum, this conductor offers excellent conductivity, lightweight handling, and durability. The "covered" aspect typically refers to a protective coating or covering that enhances resistance to environmental factors such as corrosion, moisture, and UV rays, extending the lifespan of the wire. Ideal for overhead power lines in urban and rural settings, AAC Covered Line Wires are widely used in distribution networks, providing reliable and safe electrical transmission over long distances.

Covered Line Wire AAC Aluminum Conductor Application

Covered Line Wire AAC Aluminum Conductor is used primarily for overhead secondary distribution lines. It is not an electrically insulated conductor and is treated as bare conductor when installed.

Covered Line Wire AAC Aluminum Conductor Strandard

These conductors are manufactured and tested to meet or exceed the following standards:

ASTM B230 – Aluminum 1350–H19 Wire for Electrical Purposes
ASTM B231 – Concentric-Lay-Stranded Aluminum 1350 Conductors
ASTM B400 – Compact Round Concentric-Lay-Stranded Aluminum 1350 Conductors
CSA C60889 – Hard-drawn aluminum wire for overhead line conductors
CSA C61089 – Round wire concentric lay overhead electrical stranded conductors
ASTM D1248 – Polyethylene Plastics Extrusion Materials for Wire and Cable

Covered Line Wire AAC Aluminum Conductor Construction

Aluminum alloy 1350-H19 wires concentrically stranded and covered with linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) or crosslinked polyethylene (XLP).
