Prefabricated branch cables

Pre-branched cables are pre-fabricated power cables with multiple branch connectors built in, reducing installation time and effort compared to standard cable installations. They are designed for various applications like residential, commercial, and industrial power distribution.

Pre-branched cables

Pre-branched cables are cables in which branch lines are prefabricated on the trunk cable by the manufacturer during the production process of the trunk cable, according to the user's design drawings. The size of the branch line cross-section and the length of the branch line are determined based on design requirements, which significantly shortens the construction period, greatly reduces material and construction costs, and ensures greater reliability in power distribution.

Structure and Application: Pre-branched cables consist of four parts:

  1. Trunk cable;
  2. Branch line;
  3. Branch joint;
  4. Related accessories.

They are available in three types: ordinary type, flame-retardant type (ZR), and fire-resistant type (NH).

Pre-branched cables are an alternative to busbar trunking systems for power supply in high-rise buildings. They offer advantages such as reliable power supply, easy installation, good waterproof performance, small footprint, low failure rate, low cost, and maintenance-free operation. They are suitable for use in power distribution lines with an AC rated voltage of 0.6/1KV.

They are widely used for vertical power supply in electrical shafts of high-rise buildings, residential buildings, shopping malls, hotels, and hospitals. They are also suitable for power supply systems in tunnels, airports, bridges, and highways.

 

Pre-branched cables

Advantages:

(I)Excellent seismic resistance, airtightness, waterproofness, and fire resistance.

  1. The trunk cable conductor is joint-free, ensuring good continuity and reducing the likelihood of faults.
  2. Utilizes advanced fully mechanized crimping technology, minimizing human error.
  3. High customizability, allowing branch positions to be set according to the needs of the distribution points in the power distribution system.
  4. Extremely low contact resistance at branch connections, unaffected by thermal expansion and contraction.
  5. Reduces power distribution costs and project expenses, with high economic indicators and significant overall benefits.
  6. Easy installation and short construction period, significantly reducing installation labor hours compared to enclosed busbar trunking systems.
  7. Maintenance-free after installation and operation, requiring no routine maintenance or upkeep.

(II)Significant reduction in power distribution costs:
(1) Compared to enclosed busbar trunking systems, it is more cost-effective, lowering project expenses, and offers high economic indicators with significant overall benefits. It comes in a wide range of specifications, providing flexible selection and arbitrary combination options.
(2) Branch positions can be arbitrarily set according to the needs of the distribution points in the power distribution system.

Low installation environment requirements and easy construction:
(1) Occupies minimal building space, with no specific requirements for civil engineering space dimensions.
(2) Simple laying and installation, with low environmental requirements. It can be directly laid in cable trenches, dedicated cable shafts in buildings, or in different cable trays, with low installation accuracy requirements.
(3) Compared to enclosed busbar trunking systems, the cable routing is more flexible, with a smaller bending radius, greatly reducing construction difficulty and space requirements.
(4) Low labor intensity during installation and a short construction period, only one-tenth of that required for enclosed busbar trunking system installation.

Excellent seismic resistance, airtightness, waterproofness, and fire resistance:
(1) It possesses excellent seismic resistance. In general enclosed mechanical-type connected busbar trunking systems, which are installed parallel to walls, joint loosening occurs when the walls are subjected to vibrations. However, prefabricated branch cables are unaffected, especially when passing through building settlement joints, requiring no additional measures.
(2) Good airtightness and waterproofness, enabling normal power supply operation in humid environments, and can also be laid outdoors and buried in soil.
