This NFC 33-209 Aerial Bundle Conductor (ABC) Cable 3x70+54.6mm² is a low-voltage overhead power cable designed for distribution lines. It's composed of three 70mm² stranded aluminum phase conductors and a larger 54.6mm² aluminum alloy messenger conductor, all insulated with XLPE. The messenger conductor provides mechanical support to the cable assembly and also functions as the neutral. This cable complies with the National French Standard NFC 33-209.
Applications
This ABC cable is used for power distribution in residential and rural areas. It's designed to reduce the risk of bushfire hazards and is suitable for overhead installations where reliability, safety, and low installation cost are important. The XLPE insulation contains a high level of carbon black, making it highly UV resistant. The cable is designed for a maximum voltage of 600V (phase to phase) and can operate at a maximum conductor temperature of 90°C.

Construction Details
The cable's construction includes:

- Neutral Messenger: Multistrand round aluminum alloy conductor insulated with black, weather-resistant XLPE. This conductor also provides mechanical support to the entire cable assembly.
- Assembly: The insulated phase and neutral cores are stranded together in a right-hand lay.
