ABC (Aerial Bundled Cable) is a type of overhead power distribution cable that combines multiple insulated conductors bundled tightly together. It is designed to improve safety and reliability in low voltage power distribution networks, especially in densely populated areas or regions prone to harsh weather conditions. Manufactured in accordance with the French standard NFC 33-209, ABC cables offer excellent mechanical strength, UV resistance, and electrical performance.
Application
Used to supply power—usually from a pole-mounted transformer—to the user's service head where connection to the service entrance is made. Suitable for use at 600V or less phase-to-phase and at conductor temperatures not exceeding 75°C for polyethylene insulation or 90°C for cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation.
Strandard
Aerial Bundled Conductors are manufactured to National French Standard NFC 33-209.
CONSTRUCTION :
Phase Conductor
Multistrand round compacted hard drawn Aluminium conductor is insulated with black weather resistant
cross-linked thermosetting polyethylene (XLPE).
Neutral Conductor
Multistrand round Aluminium Alloy conductor is insulated with black weather resistant cross-linked thermosetting
polyethylene (XLPE).
Public lighting conductor
Multistrand round compacted hard drawn Aluminium conductor is insulated with black weather resistant
cross-linked thermosetting polyethylene (XLPE) conforming to NFC 33-209.
